How to register and upload your CV
Don’t you just hate it when you think you’ve found the perfect job online only to be forced into several different websites and sign up pages that end up taking way too much time before you can actually apply for the job in question? We know the feeling!
Now you’ve stumbled upon Creative Careers South Africa and you’re thinking, “This platform looks great, but how do I get started?” Well, in just a few simple steps you’ll be ready to start applying for jobs in no time!
How to Register:
When the popup window appears makes sure that the ‘candidate’ tab is highlighted.
Next, you will see options to register using your active social media accounts. If you are going to use this method, make sure that your social media name is the same as the name on your ID since you will be using your profile to apply for jobs.
Alternatively, enter your personal information, email address, cellphone number then choose an industry in the dropdown. You can also choose whether or not you would like your resume to be listed on our public database.
Double check the information provided, then click sign up.
Tada! You’re officially registered on Creative Careers South Africa!
Now that you’re on board, explore the sections on the left that need to be filled out.
The ‘My Resume’ section is where you will be able to publicly list your contact details, education, other credentials and work experience. This will be made available to users who access the site and potential employers. Try to keep this short and to the point, ensuring that you are able to stand out with the information you provide.
The ‘CV and Cover Letter’ section is where you can upload your official CV document that you would normally use to apply for a job. We recommend that you upload one document that is in PDF or Word format.
Your CV will then be saved on the system and will only be accessible to the employers who you have applied to. Remember that this is your main C.V. and a decision will be made based on the quality and contents of the document you upload. Below is a space for you to include a cover letter should you wish to. This cover letter should be a standard cover letter and should not be addressed to a particular company unless you update this section for every job you apply for.
And there you have it! A few easy steps to get you up and running. You’re now ready to browse job openings and apply with just a few clicks.
